Skiers and snowboarders worship Whistler Blackcomb, Canada's largest ski resort. Since 2008, the peaks of the Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains have been connected by the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, doubling the area of the ski resort. The region is known for its excellent snow quality. People come here to ski in fresh powder snow. And unlike so many other ski resorts, Whistler has plenty of fine fluffy snow to enjoy. The area has many different runs, ranging from steep descents to sheltered forest trails. Whistler is the perfect destination for skiers and boarders of every skill level. In addition to the many runs, there are also 6 Wonder Routes. These routes lead visitors to the most beautiful and often lesser known areas of the ski resort.

After the snow has melted on the Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains and the skis have been put back in storage, it's time to enjoy a range of other activities in the mountain region. Mountain bikers can choose from an almost infinite number of trails. The presence of the many ski lifts makes it easy to get high up in the mountains guaranteeing spectacular descents. The Top of the World alpine trail takes mountain biking fans to the 4 highest points of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains for some spectacular views and a mind-blowing biking experience down the mountain. Kayaking on the River of Golden Dreams (yes, that's the river’s real name) is a good way to spot such wildlife as beavers and bears. Hikers may explore dozens of kilometres of mountain trails. Whistler is also a paradise for golfers; there are 5 18-hole golf courses which are among the very best in Canada.
